Family owned and run for over 110 years, the hotel is located in peaceful and unspoilt surroundings with beautiful views over National Trust countryside and across the bay with its distinctive 'thirled stone' rock.
There are 66 luxurious ensuite bedrooms (many with balconies), which have been finished to the very highest standard. An overnight stay in one of these fabulous bedrooms is included in the wedding package.
The Thurlestone Hotel offers a choice of three rooms for your Civil Ceremony: the Lounge, the Delvers Room and the Yarmer Suite, each distinctive in its own way. The Yarmer Suite is the largest, accommodating up to 150 guests.
With its floor-to-ceiling windows giving you and your guests an outstanding panoramic view over the bay, and a rosette for its food, the Margaret Amelia restaurant is an ideal venue for your Wedding Breakfast. These stunning views accompany mouth-watering menus featuring local seasonal delicacies and carefully selected wines, to ensure that your wedding breakfast will be one to remember.
For those unique photographs, the beautiful bay with its sandy beach is only two minutes away by car, or you can just step outside into our pretty landscaped gardens.

To find The Thurlestone, Devon:
At Buckfastleigh on the A38, take the A384 into Totnes then the A381 towards Kingsbridge. After 10 miles, turn right at a mini-roundabout onto the A379 towards Churchstow. At a second roundabout beyond Churchstow, turn left onto the B3197 then right into a lane signposted to Thurlestone. |
